Chronos

Father Time

I am Chronos, and you are my only child. It came from his lips, but not as words. It was a wind that carried the voices of a million years and more…a sound of summers of cicadas, the noise of every one of them that would ever live; the vibrations of the earth’s crust as it shifts imperceptibly over epochs, Maia’s skin trembling; the cacaphonous rise and fall of generation upon generation…all speaking as one voice.
